The predecessor of the Single Top 100 started on 23 May 1969 as the ''Hilversum 3 Top 30''. Originally it was broadcast by the

According to the compilers of the Single Top 100 it was the best sold single in the Netherlands as it sold 580.000 copies, far more than any other single that year.
